The class featured is STEP AEROBICS All aerobic classes follow a set routine. The Warm Up: must be performed before you begin any exercise programme it is designed as it says to warm up the body gradually increasing the heart rate, thus supplying oxygenated blood to the muscles and preparing the body for the exercise that will follow. A warm up is essential and lowers the risk of injury in any physical activity. After the warm up the aerobic section follows, first at a low intensity and then gradually increasing in intensity, students on our courses will be taught all the components of all exercise classes, HOW! WHY? and WHEN to perform exercises and the PHYSIOLOGICAL EFFECTS the exercises have on the body.... MUSCULAR STRENGTH and ENDURANCE or toning can be performed after the aerobic section, either standing i.e squats etc, or performed on the floor as sit ups, press ups and stomach crunches.
